Alongside architects Hardel Le Bihan, Youssef Tohmé, Adjaye Associates and Buzzo Spinelli Architecture, a consortium of developers co-designed a new urban centre offering a vibrant, yet peaceful setting. The architectural objective of this project is to create a neighbourhood that would ensure seamless urban continuity between Paris and Ivry-sur Seine. This ambitious project will make Bruneseau France’s first low-carbon neighbourhood.

The Bruneseau project aims to achieve the highest environmental goals in the context of today’s building practices: to complete the first zero-carbon neighbourhood in France and to achieve a building carbon footprint five times lower than the Paris average.
This objective relates to the new E+C- environmental certification managed by Elioth. It will be obtained through the extensive use of wood floorings and unprecedented on-site energy generation capacity for an urban project of such scale: 65% of the neighbourhood’s energy consumption will come from renewable or recovered energy, and 50% will be produced on site.
