Sustainable development training courses and awareness

Sustainable development is a daily dimension at Icade: high-level training courses, awareness raising programmes, annual sustainable development awards, workshops around our demonstration projects, “green initiatives” in technical building management.

Practical sustainable development training courses

Icade provided 1,121 hours of high-level courses and ran awareness programmes to enable the integration of environmental issues into its property programmes: energy performance of buildings, environmental quality, renewable energies. Fully practical courses that lead to concrete realities: workgroups around demonstration projects, “green initiatives” in technical building management, HQE® certificates, ISO 14001 approaches in commercial property.

Collecting and sharing good practices

In April 2010 in the framework of sustainable development, Icade also organised a series of internal workshops and conferences on the topic of sustainable property. These initiatives are relayed by regularly listening to the expectations of employees and ongoing dialogue regarding the Group's actions.

Icade sustainable development awards

Each year, Icade sustainable development awards are an opportunity to share innovations and good practices by enhancing employee initiatives that feature a substantial sustainable development approach. The 4th  Icade Awards highlighted three projects:

  • a multiple criteria environmental label to audit buildings;
  • the “100 opportunities, 100 jobs” project to integrate young people through work (Aubervilliers shopping centre building site);
  • the BBC rehabilitation of a building (Le Beauvaisis, Paris).

Two other projects were also rewarded: one by employees, the “Employees’ Award” went to a BBC housing project of intergenerational diversity on the Bonne urban development at Grenoble; the other by the Jury, the writing of a standard green lease (environmental supplement to the lease).
