Our challenges: responsible, balanced and fair human resource management

Just as with sustainable, intergenerational cities that respect social diversity, our corporate social and societal approach must satisfy the challenges represented by the age pyramid, senior workers, gender equality and disabled workers.

Balanced recruitment, open to all ages

Icade’s employment age pyramid must ensure the best alignment between new generations and the transfer of skills. The average age of Icade employees, 43 for managers and 41,6 for non-managers, illustrates our human resource management policy. Each year, we recruit young graduates (26 in 2011) and welcome work-placement students during internship or temporary contracts (25 contracts in 2011). We also recruited 25 fifty+ workers in 2011.

Attentive to the place of seniors in the workforce, Icade signed an agreement in 2009 on senior employment that allows for arrangements such as second stage career interviews, access to home working and retirement preparation courses.

Our commitment to disabled workers

The ratio of disabled workers remains insufficient, as a result of which Icade undertook to increase the ratio in the framework of a partnership agreement with AGEFIPH: internal awareness campaigns, recognition of the quality of disabled workers, partnerships with companies in the protection of disabled workers’ sector including a training programme for buyers.

Attention to gender equality

Icade is particularly attentive to gender equality in the workplace. We have been working with trade unions to analyse the current situation in terms of:

  • access, training and promotion conditions;
  • work and employment conditions;
  • work-life balance.

The analysis shows that gender equality and the wage policy are balanced, with an increase in women managers (22% in 2011) and two women in the Executive Committee.
