History of Icade
Icade is a French property services group that was created in 1954, under the name of Société Centrale Immobilière de la Caisse des Dépôts (SCIC).
1954: SCIC was created
SCIC (Société Centrale Immobilière de la Caisse des Dépôts) and 23 construction companies (SCI) were created to further France's reconstruction effort and respond to the housing shortage of the 1950s.
1957-1976:
A huge housing estate was built in Sarcelles.
1964:
SCIC started building hospitals, at the request of the Paris public hospital administration.
1980s:
Internal reorganisation within SCIC.
1994:
500,000 housing units built in 40 years
2003:
SCIC became Icade.
2006:
Icade was first listed on the stock market.
2007: Serge Grzybowski was appointed CEO of Icade
Icade became a listed property investment company.
Icade was reorganised into three business lines: Property Investment, Property Development, and Property Services.
2009-2010: Icade started to focus on office property investment business in Île-de-France
Icade sold 29,000 housing units to a consortium that managed subsidised housing and invested its proceeds in Compagnie La Lucette.
2012-2013 :
Combination project between Icade and Silic
