Faced with the far-reaching changes to people’s ways of living and working and the urgent need to reduce its environmental impact, the real estate sector is in the midst of a transformation. Icade is mobilising on all fronts to meet social, societal and environmental expectations. To offer relevant and creative solutions, we have chosen to work with our stakeholders to co-construct our property products and services. Together, we create value at every level and by doing so, we help to build cities that are more sustainable, more inclusive and more resilient and that bring real comfort and well-being to their users.

What is Icade doing to address the environmental, social and societal challenges of tomorrow?

Read the answer

« Icade’s CSR goals are a central part of its strategy. We have made ambitious commitments to reduce our carbon footprint and bring our two divisions in line with a 1.5°C pathway. Icade has set two environmental priorities—namely to facilitate low-carbon transition et preserve biodiversity. As Icade is also attentive to its stakeholders’ needs, our objective is to offer our customers desirable places where they can live and work. To accomplish this, we co-develop innovative and sustainable real estate solutions and services. In addition, we contribute to local social and economic growth through offers of affordable and inclusive housing, initiatives promoting professional integration and diversity, local partnerships, community initiatives and patronage. Lastly, our HR policy aims to attract the best talent by providing a collaborative and stimulating work environment, developing expertise, ensuring a healthy work-life balance and stepping up measures promoting diversity. »

A dynamic CSR policy

Icade’s CSR policy is built around three areas:

- Climate change and environmental protection;
- Societal commitments and partnerships;
- Employee skills development, workplace well-being and diversity.

Five priority issues have been identified by our internal and external stakeholders. Particular attention is paid to these issues in the CSR commitments set out in the strategic plan:

CSR priority issues for Icade

One of the ways the CSR issues were prioritised was by analysing the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Icade has defined seven priority goals for which it wants to position itself as a leader and seven significant goals to which it is strongly committed

A strong governance structure

To ensure the success of its CSR policy, Icade relies on three governing bodies responsible for devising and managing its CSR strategy:

- the Innovation and CSR Committee, reporting to the Board of Directors: includes three directors, two of whom are independent, and is responsible for prioritising the areas for action in innovation and CSR;

- the Purpose Advisory Board, created in 2022, it is made up of members of the Innovation and CSR committee and five external personalitiesBrice Teinturier, Deputy CEO from Ipsos and expert in societal transition, Gilles Bœuf, biologist and professor at Sorbonne University, Jean Jouzel, climatologist, Marylène Vicari, founder of the Liberté Living-Lab, and Anne Lalou, president of the Innovation Factory & director of the Web School Factory. The mission of this board is to examine the relevance of the performance indicators and to assess the effectiveness of actions defined in the roadmap of the Purpose . This board also proposes recommendations for areas of progress;

- the Executive Committee, comprised of ten members including the Head of CSR and Innovation, is responsible for deploying Icade’s CSR strategy and performing the weekly monitoring of the actions carried out.

Always listening to stakeholders

Icade’s CSR approach is based on identifying its stakeholders and developing in-depth knowledge of them in order to better meet their needs.

To achieve this, Icade holds regular and constructive dialogue with its key stakeholders.
